Director of Wine & Spirits

The Director of Wine and Spirits will manage multiple brand-building and marketing initiatives in such a manner that they have significant business impact. The Director will leverage the implementation of strategic sales and marketing objectives for new and existing wine and spirits brands. The Director will maintain complete responsibility for ensuring marketing plans, volume and distribution goals are consistent with the company's growth and profit objectives. The Director of Wine and Spirits must be able to manage supplier relationships and attract new suppliers within growth categories as a strategy to increase overall market share.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor's Degree plus minimum of 5 years' wine and spirits management experience.
• Ability to effectively lead, coach and direct staff.
• Ability to analyze data and make quality decisions based on trends.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication ability. Strong sales, diplomacy, and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
• Ability to meet deadlines, be flexible, and work well under pressure.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to effectively work cross-functionally, maintaining positive relationships across all divisions/departments.
• Valid NYS driver's license and acceptable driving record. Some travel required.
