JBAE Systems is seeking an experienced and innovative Traffic Manager to lead our efforts in managing and optimizing our organization's Traffic Operations. This position reports directly to the Global Supply Chain Process Owner in a supply chain organization responsible for $2b+ in annual material requirements for the Electronic Systems (ES) Sector. With over 900 supply chain professionals, the ES Sector supply chain team spans multiple locations, primarily in the United States.
In this role, the right person will represent Electronic Systems in any BAE Systems Inc level transportation and logistics activities. The Traffic Manager will facilitate and direct the network for transportation of company products and materials between BAE Systems Electronic Systems (ES) facilities and subsidiaries, to and from Suppliers, and to Customers when BAE Systems ES is responsible for delivery, inclusive of domestic and international transportation.
The Traffic Manager will maintain an efficient process for audit and payment of freight expenses, ensuring overhead and direct charges are properly allocated and communicated to Finance. Additionally, active management of suppliers that provide shipping supplies and equipment will be expected. Transportation expense costs and savings will be a key part of this role. The Traffic Manager will be working closely with site shipping departments to ensure they are well they have the resources to be successful. There will be times they will work with both internal program leadership and customers to meet any unique requirements.

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience or equivalent experience
Experience in Transportation or Supply Chain Management
Experience in Freight and Carrier Management
Experience in People Management/Leadership
Experience with Freight Bill Audit and Pay
Knowledge of Transportation industry best practices
Ability to drive operations with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
Ability to support process improvement and change management initiatives
Ability to ensure compliance with industry requirements FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR, etc.
Strong analytical and reporting skills (Proficiency in Power BI/Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
