Superintendent Refinery Surveyor

As a site Refinery Surveyor you will be playing a critical role in the construction of Tesla's first lithium refinery plant near Corpus Christi, TX. You will pro-actively aid the Construction Management team in surveying tasks across various project phases. The ideal candidate will have expertise in establishing monuments, scanning targets for dimensional control, and verifying control points. You should be adept at registering Total Station shots to a coordinate file and developing processes and procedures for surveying and scanning to train future team members.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and establish dimensional control for laser scan target coordinates
• Generate CAD survey drawings based on collected data and ensure accuracy in representation
• Prepare comprehensive reports for survey projects and laser scanning activities
• Coordinate field crews and survey technicians in the collection and calculation of field data
• A willingness to cross-train in laser scanning technology
• Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
• Provide technical and operational guidance to project teams, on-site representatives, and survey contractors

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience using a robotic Total Station for dimensional control
• Proficiency in Leica Captivate and Leica Infinity or equivalent software
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Mechanical, Navisworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills are a must
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, AutoCAD Recap, FARO Scene Registration Software or equivalent
• Proven ability to identify issues and propose efficient solutions.
• Strong organizational skills
