The National Sales Training Manager - Smart Lighting Systems is responsible for the overall sales of smart lighting products through distribution. Qualified candidates will work well amongst sales leaders, reps, and brick-and-mortar distributors to promote sales of app-based lighting and control products. Assisting in the developing and implementing strategic plans to meet sales goals and increase market share while identifying and exceeding customer expectations. Additionally, this position will hold a pivotal role in collecting and analyzing market trends, competitor research and data analysis to inform and drive growth opportunities.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Train and develop existing outside Reps to drive growth in smart lighting product sales.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans that achieve sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to achieve increased sales.
  • Closely coordinate with the Inside Business Development Team and regional Sales Managers and the Outside Independent Sales Rep Force to drive growth objectives.
  • Develop and implement monthly strategic plans for the achievement of sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Identify customer concerns and issues within the designated territory and collaborate with internal resources to achieve timely resolution.

  • Requirements:
  • Ability to travel 75% nationwide.
  • Minimum 3+ years of B2B Sales leadership experience with a proven track record of success in smart consumer goods
  • Background in lighting preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related professional experience.
  • Proven strategic planning and execution skills in a fast paced, challenging selling environment.
  • Proven history of being self-directed, with the ability to achieve results independently.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.

  • Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Learn a variety of product lines including Smart Lighting systems to assist end users in connectivity and installations.
  • Identify customers' needs, clarify information, research every issue and provide solutions and/or alternatives.
  • Resolve time sensitive customer technical problems by documenting steps taken to resolve them, and the specific dates/individuals involved.
  • Follow up with customer technical support cases through phone and email submission.
  • Support the Inside Sales Team with higher level knowledge on general product and specialization on individual product categories.
  • Help develop new programs or processes for implementation and workflow improvements. Including adding to best practices and sharing solutions.
