Position Summary

The Controller is ultimately responsible for overseeing and managing the day to day operations of the Accounting department, including supervising of staff and ensuring all deadlines are met.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for month-end close and all reporting requirements.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring financial plans are consistent with organizational goals.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
  • Manage the integration and optimization of D365, address existing system challenges, and enhance its functionality to meet our financial reporting needs.
  • Develop and provide timely financial analysis and reports to assist senior management in decision-making processes; participate in strategy discussions and initiatives.
  • Monitor cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Act as a backup to the VP of Finance, demonstrate leadership capabilities as a potential successor for financial leadership within the organization.
  • Maintain financial relationships related to banking, audit, insurance, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Obey all safety rules, use caution in work activities, and continuously practice safe behaviors.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions/behaviors and work-related injuries to site supervision.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Education and Experience
  • A minimum of 6-10 years of relevant experience in finance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team, with the capability to mentor and develop staff.
  • Technical competencies in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are essential.
  • Demonstrated skills in financial analysis, forecasting, and team management.
  • Ability to create presentations; comfort in presenting financial data to executives
  • Advanced financial analysis capabilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Expertise in forecasting techniques and models.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
