POSITION SUMMARY:

The Corporate Director of Clinical Education is responsible for the oversight of all clinical education and training for Nexus Health Systems. The candidate will evaluate and build nursing and clinical trainings with oversight of Clinical Onboarding. The Corporate Director of Clinical Education drives positive change by providing leadership through performance improvement strategies that advance and support clinical education throughout Nexus Health Systems, leading to enhanced quality and financial outcomes. The Corporate Director of Clinical Education will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer and work closely with Hospital's Chief Clinical Officers, Educators and HR Managers to ensure harmonize and standardize clinical training.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages and leads Nexus Health Care systems clinical learning and development
Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning and development programs that support the professional growth and skill development of our corporate and field employees
Play a critical role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and ensuring our workforce has the knowledge and capabilities to thrive in a dynamic business environment.
Develop and execute the overall learning and development strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
Design, implement, and manage innovative learning and development programs, including clinical mentoring, intern/externships, leadership development & succession, technical training, and soft skills development.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify training needs and design targeted programs that address skill gaps and support career progression.
Oversee the creation and delivery of innovative methodologies through the right mix of internal resources and partnerships.
Assesses organization's workforce effectiveness and provides recommendations to bridge performance gaps
Cultivates a superior clinical identity by supporting the clinical education team in operationalizing evidence-based practices to advance patient safety and quality outcomes.
Ensures that the clinical education team develops educational content that meets the accreditation standards of the DNV, CARF, Joint Commission and similar organizations.
Establishes expectations and accountability for delivery of clinical education services and practices that create a patient-centered organization.
Serves as the SME to oversee the creation and facilitation of leadership development curriculum and develops departmental or job specific training programs, as well as overall program and/or learning module objectives.
Employs classroom, e-learning and other training modalities to enhance training opportunities for Network employees.
Oversees the LMS and learning technology infrastructure that delivers e-learning to employees.
Ensures efficient and effective development and delivery of quality clinical education content and programs to drive improved clinical metrics.
Assumes accountability for promoting consistent, positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service.
Identifies development opportunities or training needs of individual employees and teams. Provides coaching, feedback and training to improve performance.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:
Master's degree in nursing required

EXPERIENCE:
5+ years' experience in an acute care setting required
Experience in leading a clinical change initiative required

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Texas Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner
Certified Nurse Educator Preferred
Certification from the Association of Nursing Professional Development Preferred
