POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Warehouse Director - Dixon, under the supervision of the VP of Operations, West, is responsible for overseeing and directing all warehouse operations, processes and resources. Promotes continuous improvement to layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space to drive efficient operations.

The Warehouse Director - Dixon, under the supervision of the VP of Operations, West, is responsible for overseeing and directing all warehouse operations, processes and resources. Promotes continuous improvement to layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space to drive efficient operations.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for ensuring that supervisory personnel effectively schedule labor to produce both efficient and responsive support for our purchasing and sales departments.
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
- Ensure adherence to operational procedures, quality standards, and best practices to meet or exceed company performance targets.
- Drive process improvements to increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, regulatory, and industry standards, including OSHA guidelines.
- Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper staffing levels by managing recruitment, training, and retention programs.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and set clear goals to enhance employee performance and professional growth.
- Oversee inventory management systems, ensuring accurate stock levels, timely replenishment, and order fulfillment.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies, reduce shrinkage, and optimize stock rotation.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to forecast demand and ensure the timely availability of products.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term warehouse strategies aligned with overall company objectives.
- Manage warehouse budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and controlling operational costs.
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership on warehouse performance, budget adherence, and strategic initiatives.
- Leverage warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technologies to streamline operations and improve accuracy.
- Lead the implementation of new technologies and process improvements to optimize warehouse functions.
- Analyze data and performance metrics to make data-driven decisions and improvements.
- Maintain a safe working environment for all employees by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding workplace safety and environmental standards.
- Lead efforts to continuously improve safety culture and incident prevention.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers, suppliers, and other external partners to ensure timely delivery and accurate shipments.
- Foster positive relationships with key vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to improve operational efficiency.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proven experience in managing large-scale warehouse operations, including distribution, inventory control, and staffing.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Experience with budget management, process optimization, and strategic planning.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse workforce.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with various levels of staff and management.
- In-depth understanding of safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and risk management.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in warehouse management or supply chain operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
