Manager - Systems Services Project Management

As a Manager of the IT Infrasturcture Project Management Team, you will lead a team of agile project managers who support the delivery of new or updated systems, infrastructure and tools to support MathWorks' business operations.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains a motivated team.
• Manages large programs / projects involving multiple teams / departments, working closely with business and IT managers, subject matter experts, analysts and developers.
• Works with the IT Infrastructure Management team, and the IT PMO, to improve the Project Management and Agile standards and processes.
• Provides coaching and assistance to IT Infrastructure managers and teams on the best use of agile, project and portfolio management approaches and techniques.
• Oversees the work of a team of Agile Project Managers.
• Coordinates / facilitates the biannual IT Infrastructure planning process.

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required. 2 years management experience is required.

Additional Qualifications

Two or more years of experience managing staff, and leading / coaching agile project managers.

Seven or more years of IT Infrastructure project and program management experience.

Must have experience managing IT projects using Agile methodologies.

Experience in establishing / improving project and portfolio management processes and metrics.

Experience in establishing / improving agile frameworks.

Exceptional communication, problem-solving and change-management skills.
