Mechanical Engineer

Accelsius is developing revolutionary direct-to-chip, 2-Phase cooling technologies that empower and enable Server OEMs, Data Centers, Edge Computing Operators, and 5G Edge deployments to meet performance, sustainability, scale, and cost goals while serving this high-growth market for data services.
Accelsius is looking for a Mechanical/Thermal Engineer to help us create leading-edge cooling solutions for the computer industry. This role will include the design and creation of cooling system assemblies, focusing on evaporator plates used in 2-phase cooling applications.

Role Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative mechanical solutions from prototype to production involving refrigerant fluid flow, plumbing, pumps, sealing, and thermal analysis.
- Perform FEA on assemblies to confirm performance and suitability for enterprise data center applications
- Assist in validating thermal and mechanical performance, and directing testing and test requirements as needed
- Work with other engineers to ensure compatibility with designed assemblies in the greater cooling system, including generating specifications and assisting in design reviews
- Create drawings required for manufacturing and assist in vendor relationships
Qualifications for this role include:
- B.S. or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years of experience with progressively increasing responsibility
- Experience with diverse manufacturing methods preferred
- Thermal engineering experience preferred, with experience in 2-phase cooling technologies
- Strong mechanical design and integration skills using modern 3D modeling tools
- Strong FEA capability
- Ability to lead mechanical developments from concept to release
- Well versed in SolidWorks
- Preferred experience with cold-plate design for modern processors/GPUs or other similar power electronics
- An Agile, team player
- Startup experience is a plus
