Facilities Mechanical Hydronics Engineer

You will support daily operations and work on process system efficiency, capacity, and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all mechanical equipment within a commercial building, including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, and building automation systems
• Demonstrate general experience troubleshooting and improving Process mechanical system
• Interact with tenants and ensure all engineering requests are effectively addressed
• Work with on-site contractors and vendors
• Effectively respond to and resolve operations process issues
• Implement safety programs and protocols
• Support maintenance and reliability engineering team to increase facility system reliability and efficiency.
• Identify and implement improvement projects
• Interface heavily with design and installation teams to assure quality system delivery.
• Understand and apply Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) concepts and root cause failure analysis to open-ended problems

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or 3+ years of relevant working experience
• Operation experience in hydronics for industrial / pharmaceutical / bio-tech / semiconductor type facilities is preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and systems, including pumps, pneumatics, fans, flow meters, air handling systems, industrial chilled water, heating, process piping, rotating equipment, mass and heat transfer
• Strong troubleshooting background and issue resolution
• Ability to demonstrate solid data and system analysis skill
• System commissioning and startup experience a plus
