Manage projects from concept, design, and financial justification through implementation within a project
schedule and budget.
Analyze plant processes, design, and implement efficient and cost-effective improvements.
Explore new ways to automate systems, design control solutions, and implementation.
Provide solutions to integration challenges associated with plant equipment.
Manage multiple projects at one time to maximize facility support.
Complete projects as assigned and as they arise finding creative solutions to problems.
Provide project cost estimates, maintain project schedules, and coordinate related activities.
Create CAD layout of equipment, workflow, and assembly methods. Develop various equipment
programs, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), Artificial Intelligence (AI), etc. for various manufacturing projects.
Provide support for automation, electrical, Computer Numeric Control (CNC), Programmable Logic
Controller (PLC) control issues (either on-site, by phone or online).
Provide unscheduled emergency troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment in the plant.
Maintain up-to-date and current backup documentation of all electrical, electronic machine, and
controller programs and effectively communicate any changes to appropriate personnel.
Practices Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and follows safe electrical work practices - serves as a leader in safe
electrical working practices, teaching others to follow.
Perform other related duties as directed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Not responsible for supervising employees
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering field
3+ years of manufacturing experience
Or Associate degree with 5+ years of related experience in the Engineering field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Automation, Electrical Systems, Industrial Controls, Electrical Engineering Degree.
Automation experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Project Management, Manufacturing Equipment Improvement, Safety, PLC programming, Variable
Frequency Drives (VFD), Robotics, reading and deciphering electrical/mechanical prints, proficient with AutoCAD
software products. Dataview/Labview
Ability to work with mathematical and algebraic concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and
forecasting. Ability to apply and analyze concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
to practical situations.
Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Ability to
create,
maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to
support business objectives.
Frequently communicates complex information and interacts with management. Can present, resolve, and address delicate situations. Can motivate and persuade others. Decisions impact the management and operations within a department. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department. Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment (i.e. lifting demands, travel requirements, etc.): While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
