The Nurse Manager is responsible for the daily operations of a nursing unit and supervising the nursing personnel in a particular unit or department. Other duties include:
- Delegates tasks to a nursing staff, manages and checks the nursing schedule, ensures that all shifts are covered
- Oversees patient care, make management and budgetary decisions, coordinate meetings, and make personnel decisions.
- Responsible for recruiting new team members and conducting performance reviews.
- Cert Note: ACLS & PALS not required for NICU Nurse Manager - NRP is required.
