Automotive Transmission Manufacturing Project Manager

Essential Job Duties:
10 years Automotive Transmission Remanufacturing Experience
Research transmissions application and vehicle coverage
Work with various LKQ locations to inspect transmissions and verify application and coverage.
Source and order samples from LKQ locations.
Inspect and confirm transmission samples received are accurate.
Disassembled, inspect, clean and document transmission components.
Based on research; recommend specifications, criteria, upper and lower acceptance limits on parts

and processes
Recommend and implement processes at Transmission Remanufacturing facilities
Verify processes, performance, and results
Verify transmission reassembly
Recommend and verify testing parameters on transmissions to be tested
Facilitate and recommend testing transmissions on Dynamometer
Review results and adjust parameters and remanufacturing specifications if needed
After transmission testing; verify results, root causes analysis and identification of failure
Recommendation of potential changes to alleviate known issues

Basic Qualifications

Education & Experience:
Various Engineering skill sets desired, Project Management, Manufacturing workflow, and assembly

solutions, Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:
10 Years of Automotive Transmissions Remanufacturing Experience.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs., stand for periods, walking, bending/Office (HVAC) & indoors;

manufacturing shop floor, dusty, noisy
