As a Platform Engineer specializing in Windows, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our applications and services. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, and secure.

Day to day:

Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

  • Design and deploy Windows-based infrastructure solutions.
  • Implement automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions are in place.

System Administration:

  • Manage and maintain Windows servers, including updates, patches, and security configurations.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work with development teams to optimize application performance on Windows platforms.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other IT staff and end-users.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security best practices.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of routine tasks.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Set up and manage monitoring tools to ensure system health and performance.
  • Automated Event driven Operations.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, uptime, and security incidents.

Essentials:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience with Windows Server administration.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Active Directory.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly PowerShell.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Extras:

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of Ansible
  • Advanced knowledge of ServiceNow

Applicable Pay Range

84.794,98 - 127.192,47

This position is subject to the terms of DLL's compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the applicable pay range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
