BAE Systems, is seeking a dedicated, self-motivated and proficient Mid-Level Combat Systems Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join our team at the NATO SEASPARROW Project Office (NSPO) in Arlington, VA. The selected candidate will provide engineering, engineering management, and programmatic support to the N-20 Fleet Support Division. The ideal candidate will be required to have a background in the United States Navy (USN) focused on weapons systems acquisition management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead development and maintenance of Combat System Element models for the MK 57 NSSMS.
  • Provide programmatic and systems engineering services for the integration of ESSM and combat elements in PEO IWS Enterprise Test Beds, including LHA 6, CVN 78, DDG 1000, and DDG 51 Flight III platforms.
  • Support the N-20 Division Director to maintain coordination of combat system element modeling and simulation requirements.
  • Support modeling and simulation events of missile and combat systems, analyzing their interactions.
  • Engage in missile and combat systems program planning and management.
  • Schedule or participate in SETR events, review technical documentation to ensure they meet required standards and provide clear and accurate information for decision-making and provide recommendations to the N-20 Division Director.
  • Contribute to US and International system integration programs.
  • Attend meetings, manage action items, review documentation, author technical papers, and prepare briefings.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers from the Navy Field Activities and the Design Agent, program managers, and international stakeholders.


Required Skills and Education

The successful candidate must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of related experience or no degree and 5 years related experience.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering and SETR related processes preferably in a defense acquisition setting.
  • Familiarity with USN weapon systems.
  • Active Secret U.S. government security clearance.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite software products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an international team environment.
