BB&E team members provide Environmental Consulting, Facilities Engineering and Program/Project Management Services to Federal and private sectors.
Position Summary
BB&E is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Manager to join our team, supporting the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) onsite at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Honolulu, HI. The position involves working on both classified and unclassified networks for the U.S. Air Force and Department of Defense (DoD).

Position Summary
BB&E is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Manager to join our team, supporting the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) onsite at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Honolulu, HI. The position involves working on both classified and unclassified networks for the U.S. Air Force and Department of Defense (DoD).
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for design and installation of networked systems and controls such as intrusion detection, automated access control, security cameras, fire alarms, and mechanical systems
- Provide expertise for construction and renovation of administrative facilities including security and access control for secure areas as required; design logic and controls for management of these type of systems
- Adhere to security requirements for design and construction in and around secure open storage areas (SOSA) and sensitive compartmented information facilities (SCIF)
- Procure, design, and install audiovisual conference systems (AV/VTC)
Key Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret Security Clearance is required
- Knowledge:
- Experience with construction and renovation administrative facilities including security and access control for secure areas is required; experience with the design of logic and controls for management of these type of systems is preferred
- A focus on network systems and controls such as intrusion detection, automated access control, security cameras, fire alarms and mechanical systems
- Working knowledge of security requirements for design and construction in and around SOSA and SCIF areas
- Experience in the procurement, design and installation of Audiovisual Conference Systems (AV/VTC)
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Software: Proficiency using MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines autonomously
Experience & Education
- Experience: Must have a minimum of 2-4 years of construction management experience
- Must have experience with codes, standards, design and construction requirements for renovation of a historic administrative facility, Secret Open Storage Areas (SOSA), and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF)
- Experience with supporting creation and technical expertise regarding non-advisory and assistance contracts, including SRM, SRM-like, MILCON, or other repair and renovation contracts for the Air Force or Department of Defense preferred
- Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or GED
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain in a stationary position/sit at least 60% of the time
- Ability to operate office equipment, including computer, copy machine, phone, etc.
- Capable of light lifting, under 10 lbs.
