Mathtech is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to spearhead the growth of our Federal Consulting Practice as a Senior Business Development Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, a deep understanding of the federal procurement process, and the ability to lead the development and delivery of high-quality proposals and services.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will execute the following responsibilities:

Strategy Development:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for targeting federal agencies in need of management consulting services.
  • Identify and prioritize agencies and opportunities that align with Mathtech's service offerings and past performance.

Opportunity Identification:
  • Identify and analyze specific opportunities for bidding.
  • Monitor federal procurement portals and other sources to stay informed about upcoming opportunities.

Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Identify key decision-makers and influencers within targeted federal agencies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with agency personnel to understand their needs and present service offerings.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings and presentations with key decision-makers and influencers.

Proposal Development:
  • Lead the development of compelling and compliant proposals in response to federal solicitations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information and ensure timely submission of proposals.

Service Delivery:
  • Oversee the delivery of consulting services to federal clients, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure alignment with client expectations and project goals.

Marketing and Outreach:
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the company's services to federal agencies.
  • Create marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and case studies, to support business development efforts.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and generate leads.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or greater in Business, Management, Operations, IT, or similar technical field
  • 10+ years of experience directing and managing technology and business transformation projects
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze client problems, synthesize and deliver solutions, and create deliverables
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, outreach and business development, preferably within the federal government sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying and securing federal contracts.
  • Experience in leading proposal development for Federal Government opportunities and managing Federal Government client relationships.
  • Strong time management, planning, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office and SharePoint skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work in a self-directed manner to accomplish objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous initiatives, including client projects, practice management efforts, and proposal development activities
  • A willingness to travel to address the needs of Mathtech clients
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends on occasion
