Position Description:
The F&MCW Specialty Access Medical Director will create measurable access improvements for specialty providers and patients across the south region, by contributing to effective EPEC workflow design and by supporting clinical leaders in selecting and implementing effective access improvement strategies.
The F&MCW Specialty Access Medical Director reports directly to the Specialty Practice CMO. DYAD Partner: Director of Access Insights The Specialty Access Medical Director is expected to:
1. Provide physician leadership for new specialties/department/divisions as they join the Enterprise patient engagement center, playing an active role in translating enterprise design into workflows and strategies that increase access and experience in each specialty.
2. Provide input on Access digital and technology strategy and roadmap to ensure provider and patient experiences are optimized.
3. Partner with the Ambulatory Specialty Medical Directors throughout the South Region to increase access to our specialty providers. Lead meetings to update, solicit feedback, engage, and obtain support from providers and clinical leadership on access initiatives.
4. Partner with Ambulatory Operational Leaders and Scheduling team (Manager, Directors, etc.) throughout the South Region to increase and improve specialty access.
5. Role Model: Model high quality performance demonstrated through attention to professional behavior, communication, responsiveness and patient-centered care and a commitment to virtual care in own clinical practice.
Specific duties of the role include Transformation Support:
1. Contribute to development of guiding principles and core Access workflows, representing the voice of specialty provider concerns and considerations.
2. Participate in key clinical design decision-making forums with specialties that are being incorporated into the EPEC. Ensure smooth transitions and problem solve specialty-specific concerns. Physician Access Partnership
3. In partnership with the Director of Access Insights, develop an enterprise-ready capacity insights strategy, including analytics tools and rapid deployment plans for access-creating care model changes.
4. Participate in monthly operating reviews to oversee performance across key Access measures, including:
a. New patient visits
b. % new patients seen in 10 days
c. % digital care
d. Scheduled/templated, scheduled/available.
e. Patient satisfaction with ability to get an appointment.
5. Meet at least annually with each specialty leadership team to review key performance indicators related to access to review and recommend annual goals and report performance.
6. Participate in template and scheduling governance meetings.
7. Attend the Ambulatory Operations Directors meeting and Ambulatory DYAD leadership meeting.

- Over 2 years of experience as a practitioner MD or DO
