Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Gotham Health Clinical Director of Behavioral Health Services will lead behavioral health services and spearhead the development and implementation of behavioral health programs across our network of Article 28 and Article 31 Community Health Centers. This role requires a strong behavioral health clinical and administrative background and will focus on enhancing the delivery of behavioral health services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and improving patient outcomes. The ideal candidate has strong operational and leadership experience and is committed to our mission to provide health care to all New Yorkers without exception.

Performs other related duties as requested by the Chief Medical Officer of Gotham Health System. This position may require travel between multiple FQHC locations. Office and clinical setting within community health centers.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Ph.D. in Psychology with specialization in areas of Clinical Theory and Practice from a college or university accredited by the American Psychological Association, plus New York State licenses to practice psychology, or approved equivalent with a valid diploma from the American Board of Professional Psychology; and,
2. Six years of clinical experience, of which four are in psychopathology and two years in an administrative and supervisory category with the psychologist group.
Department Preferences
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in behavioral health, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
Extensive knowledge of behavioral health systems, evidence-based practices, and compliance regulations.
CERTIFICATION(S)/LICENSE(S):
Licensed to practice in the relevant clinical field ( e.g., LCS W, Licensed Psychologist)
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Proven ability to manage and lead diverse teams in a dynamic and complex environment.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:
Master's degree or higher in Social Work, PhD in Psychology, or related field

- Lead a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, providing supervision, professional development, and evaluation to ensure high standards of performance.
Operational Management
- Support the leaders who are overseeing the day-to-day operations of behavioral health services across multiple centers. Ensure programs are effectively implemented and are meeting their goals. Spearhead the Gotham system's effort to standardize clinic workflows including visit types and scheduling practices to increase access.
Program Development:
- Design and develop comprehensive behavioral health programs that integrate seamlessly with other health services offered by the centers. Focus on innovative solutions to meet the diverse needs of the communities we serve.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Monitor the quality of care delivered, implement quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the key liaison between the behavioral health service line and other medical services within Gotham Health. Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to align on community health objectives.
Budget Management:
- Collaborate with Finance leadership to develop and manage the budget for behavioral health services, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively to maximize patient care.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Utilize data to track program performance, make informed decisions, and report on outcomes to senior management and external bodies as required.
