Description:
EHS Risk Management, LLC is seeking a Senior Safety Manager to join our growing team! This is a full time position, conducted out of a home office, considering candidates who live in Syracuse, NY, Albany, NY, or the surrounding areas. This role will have the opportunity to lead and develop the Safety Practice Area within EHS-RM. In addition to contributing as a Safety Professional on project work, you will collaborate closely with EHS-RM Senior Management to oversee and coordinate business opportunities, proposals, project execution, staffing, deliverables, and customer interactions.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct or facilitate various safety projects, including safety training, industrial hygiene, process safety management, SOPs/JSAs, safety programs, and safety audits.
- Perform comprehensive OSHA and safety management system audits for corporate customers and facilities.
- Coordinate with network partners (subcontractors) to complete project work when internal resources are unavailable.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the EHS Risk Manager/EHS Portal processes and technology.
- Customize EHS Portal sites to meet specific customer needs and applications.
- Serve as the primary contact for EHS Risk Manager/EHS Portal customers or assign a Safety Professional as their primary contact.
- Provide oversight and quality control for each customer's engagement with the EHS Portal.
- Coordinate project scope and approvals with the Vice President.
- Manage project activities as Project Manager, including defining scope, assigning staff, overseeing quality checks, and delivering customer results.
- Maintain project budget and effort control, collaborating with the Vice President and the customer as necessary.
- Assist with project invoicing and follow-up as needed.
- Leverage EHS-RM technology tools (e.g., Confluence, Trello, Outlook) for effective management of company and customer information.
- Actively support and promote technology use within the safety team.
- Monitor staffing needs for upcoming projects and assess both internal and external staffing availability.
- Provide administrative management for project-level safety staff.
- Collaborate with Senior Management on new opportunities with existing and potential customers.
- Develop and follow up on customer proposals, coordinating proposal reviews with Senior Management.
- Act as a technical resource on safety standards and best practices for both staff and customers.
- Proactively stay informed on relevant OSHA safety requirements.
- Provide safety training to team members to ensure they are up to date on project-related safety requirements.
- Conduct monthly safety toolbox talks to reinforce best practices among safety staff.

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
- 10+ years of work experience in a safety-related management role with in-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred (ideally in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field) or comparable years of industry experience.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent are preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in customer management and engagement.
- Proven experience in managing and leading a team of safety professionals.
- Proficiency in safety management software and tools

- Problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
- Demonstrated scheduling and time management skills
- Willing and able to travel locally on a routine basis and domestically approximately up to 25% annually
