Job Summary

Rivia Mind is looking to grow our multifaceted Psychiatry team. We are seeking a Psychiatrist who enjoys providing quality patient care, clinical guidance, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Our practice supports a philosophy of care that leverages a whole-body approach to treatment. This role will utilize diverse Psychotherapy and Psychopharmacology methods to provide quality care across a diverse patient caseload. We are focused on supporting the development of our clinicians and providing quality, positive experiences for our patients.

Please advise if you would like a Hybrid position (One-day minimum in the office per week). Our calming office is located near Bryant Park in New York City, NY.

Application Window: Until March, 2025

Anticipated Start Date: Based on the candidate chosen, their resignation period, credentialing, and our needs, we anticipate it will be between 60-120 days from extending an offer. The target range to start is between February and July.

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent quality clinical care consistently that exemplifies Rivia Mind's culture, values, and guiding principles
• Provide services to a diverse demographic of patients with an average patient standard of 50 patients seen per week / around 10 per day (Total caseload numbers may vary based on clinical judgment, patient needs, frequency of appointments, etc.)
  • Conduct comprehensive intake evaluations and develop curated patient-centered treatment plans
  • Curate comprehensive patient-centered treatment plans and provide resources as needed
  • Provide appropriate Psychotherapy practices that leverage various modalities (CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, etc.) with proper Psychopharmacology prescribing practices
  • Appropriately prescribe medication prescriptions & refills considering the best judgment of the patient's wellbeing
  • Provide clinical support & counseling to diverse patient populations in a telehealth environment
  • Comply with clinical standards and adhere to timely and thorough session note documentation
• Provide clinical guidance and valued input to patients and peers
• Participate in and support routine and ad-hoc clinical-wide meetings and internal training to foster an engaging and continuous learning team environment

Qualifications

Required Education Level: Doctorate

Education Details:

• Earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited school
• Completed a Psychiatry residency program, completing diverse rotations including Primary Care within the training program
• Additional residencies appreciated are: Neurology, Internal Medicine, and Obstetrics-gynecology

Licensure/Certification Requirements

• Active and in good standing license for New York State as a Medical Doctor
• Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine and DEA number for New York State
• Board-certified in Psychiatry

Additional Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

• Two or more years of post-residency clinical work experience in Psychiatry
  • SUD Interest or Experience preferred but not required
  • Interest in the potential to grow into a Supervisory role within our practice
• Confidently and efficiently document concurrently within patient sessions
• Proven experience and desire to support Psychotherapy treatment
  • Psychotherapy Modality experience (CBT, DBT, etc.)
• Prescribes Medications
• Experience working with Patients in an Outpatient setting
• Excellent clinical knowledge and communication skills
• Telehealth/telemedicine experience
• Patient Education
• Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
• Electronic health records (EHR) Software
• Proficient with utilizing diverse technology platforms and systems (Google Suite, company-wide platforms/software, and EHR platforms when applicable)
• Intermediate computer skills and technical aptitude required

Compensation & Employment Details

Pay Range: $220,000 to $300,000 base salary - determined on compensable factors listed below

Pay Type: Salary

Bonus Terms: $150 bonus per weekly overage of 50 patients standard. Paid out on a quarterly basis

Clinical Schedule

We collaborate with each provider to determine a mutually beneficial and sustainable schedule. Our focus is to develop a supportive schedule that meets both the needs of our patients and the providers' preferences.

Full-Time Position (40 Hours/Week)

• Work Hours:
  
  • Total of 40 hours per week within these timeframes:
    • Monday-Friday: 8 AM to 8 PM
    • Saturday: 9 AM to 5 PM
  • Include at least 4 hours after 5 PM on a weekday or have hours on Saturday.
• Communication & Coverage:
  
  • On-call duties are not required.
  • Checking and responding to emails daily is expected.
  • If you are out for an extended time, we leverage a buddy-system to provide patient coverage.
• Hybrid Work Requirements (if applicable):
  
  • One on-site workday per week, consistently scheduled (e.g., every Monday).
• Scheduling Flexibility:
  
  • A consistent weekly schedule is required.
  • Daily start and end times may vary, as long as they follow a set, recurring schedule.
• Example Schedule:
  
  • Monday: 9 AM to 5 PM
  • Tuesday: 11 AM to 7 PM
  • Wednesday: 8 AM to 6 PM
  • Thursday: 10 AM to 6 PM
  • Friday: 8 AM to 2 PM
