Job Goal:
The Director of Maintenance-Operations and Safety-Security will oversee and coordinate the Maintenance-Operations Department, and the Safety-Security operations for the Nye County School District. This position manages the resources required to provide adequate and efficient maintenance, and safety and security in our buildings, on our grounds, and for the Nye County School District students and staff.
Qualifications:
Graduation from a regionally accredited university with an Associate's Degree or higher, or the equivalent in related course work or related job experience
Minimum of three (3) years experience in the supervision and management principles, administrative and programmatic implementation, and operating policies and managerial aspects of government facilities
Satisfactory driving record - must qualify for the district's vehicle insurance
Valid Nevada Driver License
Ability to obtain CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements
This position is for the 2024-2025 school year. Successful candidate must complete a thorough background check and pass mandatory pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
The interview process will begin in mid to late January 2025.
