We are seeking a Senior Business Relationship Manager for our team. The Senior Business Relationship Manager (SBRM) is a key figure within the firm's Business Transformation Office, charged with the creation and leadership of a team of adept Business Relationship Managers. Their collective mission is to cultivate and sustain synergistic relationships between IT, Business, and Practices, thereby amplifying the benefits derived from IT resources, initiatives, investments, and competencies.
The SBRM's responsibilities encompass a thorough comprehension of the business landscape, aiding in the strategic prioritization of projects, ensuring that these initiatives are in sync with the most beneficial technological applications, and guiding the IT strategy to align with the firm's comprehensive strategy. As a bridge between IT and the business units, the SBRM serves as a dependable advisor to IT's internal customers.This role necessitates proficient communication with firm-wide stakeholders to fully understand their technological aspirations, challenges, and strategic plans. The SBRM is instrumental in fostering collaboration and nurturing a culture of innovation and value that is reflective of the firm's overall business strategy.
Moreover, the SBRM is tasked with constructing and managing a relationship team dedicated to overseeing "convergence and strategic partnering" throughout the organization, which includes interactions with executive and senior leadership. This team's objective is to ensure that the firm's business strategy is cohesively integrated with its technological pursuits, thereby facilitating a unified approach to achieving the firm's goals.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a global law firm, preferably with extensive knowledge of the processes and workflows that are utilized by Conflicts departments. Specific experience and knowledge around New Business Intake processes is very critical to this role.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
The Senior Business Relationship Manager, reports directly to the Director of the Business Transformation Office. The Senior Business Relationship Manager will have strong and trusted relationships with the following; Chiefs, Senior Administrators outside of IT, IT Leadership, Directors of Practice Operations, AISG Team, Project Management Office, Change Management Office, Strategy and Governance Office, Practice Area Leaders, Practice Group Coordinators and Business Sponsors. The Senior Business Relationship Manager will oversee the Business Relationship Managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Working with the Director of the Business Transformation Office (BTO), as well as peers for strategy development, risk mitigation, issue resolution
Work with the Director of the BTO to support business administrative tasks such as but not limited to budget planning, resource planning, hardware/software planning, and department reporting.
Provide coaching and mentorship through proactive engagements, including individual and team meetings, goal setting, and performance evaluations.
Establish clear goals and expectations for the team, offering feedback and tracking team member performance.
Effectively communicate the team's vision and direction.
Develop and implement efficient processes and guidelines to support the Business Relationship Managers, ensuring consistent, professional, and timely service.
Build and maintain strong, value-adding relationships with departments and practices.
Manage resource assignments and monitor the quality of service provided by Business Relationship Managers to their internal clients.
Promptly and professionally identify, escalate and resolve issues appropriately.
Proactively manage internal client relationships using metrics and tools to monitor issues, demands, needs, questions etc.
Keep IT Leadership informed of internal client needs, issues, and concerns.
Collaborate with IT, Business, and Practice leadership to align joint initiatives with strategic roadmaps and business priorities.
Identify and track strategic business opportunities, ensuring initiatives align with the firm's strategy and are set up for success.
Partner with appropriate teams and leadership resources to assess and prioritize initiatives for strategic value.
Communicate initiatives progress and project updates to internal stakeholders.
Guide business leaders in effectively communicating their IT needs to improve business performance.
Review internal practices and business requirements, providing feedback to change management and business transformation teams for process refinement.
Develop a well-managed initiative portfolio with the PMO, specific to practice or department needs.
Facilitate the adoption and awareness of existing technology solutions.
Facilitate the awareness and adoption of existing technology solutions/products/applications.
Maintain creativity and innovation by staying on top of industry and technological trends.

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, information technology or related field or related experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
Previous managerial experience is necessary.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of success in developing and managing relationships with business partners and clients
Strong analytical skills.
Previous law firm experience is a bonus.
ADDITIONAL ABILITIES REQUIRED
Responsibilities may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines
Carrying a mobile device to accept calls and monitor email during non-work hours
Occasional travel may be required. Travel is less than 10% of schedule.
$120,000 - $180,000
The compensation salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
