This position will be based full-time in our Cleveland, Ohio field office.
Our client is a leading Federal Construction General Contractor that's been in business since 2000 working with Federal government agencies such as NASA, GSA, USACE, ANG, and NAVFAC, as well as state and local government agencies. They want to add a highly motivated Construction Project Manager to their team.
The Project Managers' duties will vary as required to support and work collaboratively with the Project Superintendent and the other personnel assigned to the project. Their first responsibility is to increase the effectiveness of the Superintendent and their staff. Generally, their role is to concentrate more on long-term planning, scheduling, the anticipation and identification of future "roadblocks" and "pitfalls", and the prevention and resolution of these problems prior to their impact on the project. It is their responsibility to be sure that all logistical support is completed in a timely manner so the Superintendent can concentrate on the daily and weekly execution of the Project Team's plan at the job site.

Responsibilities:
- Relative to these core values, PM is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
- Manage, train, and lead all secondary and administrative staff on the project
- Assist with communication of job estimated productions
- Conduct buyout process / administer contracts and develop scope of work
- Coordination of permits, licensing, COIs, submittals
- Analyze in detail what the forecast is showing and take whatever corrective action is required
- Schedule Problems: Define the nature and magnitude of the schedule problem, develop alternative plans which will bring the project back on course and initiate action to execute these new plans
- Monitor the procurement and manufacturing process with Superintendent to expedite and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Discover and resolve interface conflicts between the company and Subcontractors, as well as between different Contractors/Subcontractors
- Communicate proactively with Project Superintendent to develop and update the project schedule
Qualifications
- 5 years experience as a Project Manager in the construction field. Experience in Government construction preferred but will also consider those with Commercial experience. Residential only experience will not be considered.
- Ability to analyze construction drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
- Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings other structures and roads
- Strong strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods and schedule coordinating of resources
- Basic accounting principles and financial reporting, including cost-to-complete projections
- Ability to effectively collaborate with Project Superintendent to form an aligned team; the sum of your efforts produces a well-run and profitable project
- Experience in using scheduling software; Microsoft Project and P6 preferred
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency in output.
Helpful Skills:
- Experience in a Project Manager role on projects valuing at least $1M
- Knowledge of ProCore and Foundation software
- PMP certified
- AIA billing experience
