Job Description

Planning and Implementation:
* Work closely with the Division Director to advance CAHD's goal to support the health and wellbeing of youth in the city of Boston in their adolescence by increasing youth engagement and access to care through effective programs, partnerships, and public health policies.
* Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of cross-program and other strategic initiatives for the division.
* Own and oversee overall administration, program planning, evaluations and budgets related to CAHD cross-programming under the umbrella of CAFH University (CAFH U) during the academic year and summer. This includes managing all SuccessLink requirements and communications funding from the City of Boston, and other staff and youth development activities (includes Fall orientation, Halloween for Hunger, Winter and Spring break programming, and a robust 6 to 7-week Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) for an average of 100 youth and 30 staff and other programming as planned). Coordinate youth participation and serve as lead point of contact. Must be available in-person for the whole of SEP.
* Create and maintain processes and documentation to streamline all planning, evaluation, and budget needs to facilitate annual replication, ongoing sustainability and efficiency.
* Support the planning and implementation of CAHD's training and capacity building initiatives. This includes community partner needs assessments, supporting or developing related trainings, conducting trainings as needed, coordinating a supportive ongoing learning collaborative of trainees.
* Support the management of CAHD grantees. This includes attending grantee meetings, facilitating learning collaboratives for grantees.

Collaboration:
* Identify ways CAHD programs can collaborate more with internal and external partners and represent CAHD programs with partners (i.e. Boston Mayor's Office youth programs, Boston Afterschool and Beyond, BPHC Cope Code).
* Engage CAHD programs and youth in any policy development, promotion, and advocacy activities
* Field and streamline internal and external requests for CAHD staff and youth participation in programming, events, and activities.
* Examine opportunities to create a Youth Advisory Board (YAB) and coordinate the YAB.

Evaluation:
* Work with BPHC SciTech, BASB, PEAR, and other internal and external partners to support the development and implementation of appropriate evaluation activities for CAHD programs individually and collectively.
* In partnership with the BPHC Science and Technology department (SciTech), develop, implement, and sustain a comprehensive quality improvement system (inclusive of data collection and analysis systems) for the Division and each of its programs to help colleagues ensure CAHD achieves its desired outcomes.
* Support the collection and reporting of Division-wide evaluation data.
* Develop reports to the Division, its Programs, the BPHC, City Council, the Mayor's Office, partners, and residents of Boston to engage all in the advancement of CAHD's efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

* Master's degree in education, public health, public administration, health administration, social work or related field and a minimum 5 years' relevant experience; OR BA/BS and 7 years' relevant experience.
* 3+ years demonstrated success with project management including personnel, contract and budgetary supervision and oversight.
* 3+ years' experience designing and supporting the implementation of public health programs.
* 1+ years' experience implementing strategic planning processes.
* Strong combination and balance of education, training, and/or significant experience in the key skill areas of data collection and analysis, performance measures, evaluation, and/or quality improvement.
* Expertise with computer software, including data management systems, presentation applications, and spreadsheet applications.
* Excellent oral and written communication and connection skills, an able storyteller.
* Outstanding group facilitation skills.
* Knowledge of the range of issues young people in Boston face when navigating adolescence.
* Understanding of the impact of trauma and structural racism on children, families, and communities.
* Demonstrated knowledge of resources and assets available to young people in Boston.
* Strong ability to connect and partner with culturally diverse communities
* Self-directed individual and reliable team member.
* Ability to be proactive and take initiative and ownership of responsibilities with appropriate guidance from supervisors.
* Able to operate efficiently and accurately within tight timeframes, under pressure.
* Detail oriented with excellent follow-through.
* Strong interpersonal skills including ability to work well with professionals, paraprofessionals, and consumers individually and in groups.

Preferred or Plus
* Proficiency in other languages in addition to English, particularly Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Creole, and Spanish is appreciated.
* Also valued are certificates and training in youth development, leadership, data management, facilitation, and strategic planning.
* Experience in developing peer-to-peer learning communities is highly valued.
