As the company scales, we're looking for exceptional leaders for our Project & Process Management Office (PMO) to drive operational efficiency, ensure project alignment with strategic goals, and support True Classic's continued growth.

The Project Strategist plays a critical role in ensuring all projects across True Classic are aligned with the company's strategic objectives. This individual contributor role will focus on evaluating project impact, prioritizing initiatives for maximum ROI, managing the company's strategic initiatives program and providing transparent updates to leadership. Working closely with cross-functional teams and leadership, this role requires a highly organized and analytical professional capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Areas of Accountability:
1. Project Prioritization
  • Accountability: Evaluate and select projects with the highest strategic impact, ensuring alignment with True Classic's annual goals and vision.
  • Key Tasks:
    • Develop and implement a clear project prioritization framework.
    • Collaborate with functional teams to assess project feasibility and strategic relevance.
    • Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of prioritized initiatives, ready for leadership review.
  • Success Metric: % of projects aligned with annual strategic goals.
2. Resource Allocation
  • Accountability: Allocate resources efficiently to high-impact projects, enabling timely and effective execution.
  • Key Tasks:
    • Collaborate with PMO leadership to assess resource availability and allocation needs.
    • Identify potential bottlenecks and propose solutions to optimize team capacity.
    • Create and maintain resource plans to ensure projects are staffed appropriately.
  • Success Metric: Reduction in time-to-start for priority projects.
3. Integrated Program Management:
  • Accountability: Ensure all projects within the program are completed on time, in full, and aligned with True Classic's strategic objectives.
  • Key Tasks:
    • Develop and maintain a cohesive program roadmap that aligns timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across all projects.
    • Drive a culture of accountability across project teams to ensure all deliverables are met within agreed timelines and to the required quality standards.
    • Monitor risks and potential delays across the program, implementing proactive mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Success Metric: % Projects completed on time in full
4. Executive Reporting
  • Accountability: Provide transparent, data-driven updates on project alignment and progress to the executive team.
  • Key Tasks:
    • Design and deliver reports and dashboards summarizing project status, alignment, and outcomes.
    • Gather and analyze data to provide actionable insights on project performance and alignment.
    • Prepare presentations for leadership, highlighting key updates and recommendations.
  • Success Metric: Executive satisfaction score on project alignment reporting (survey feedback).

Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Operations, or a related field.
  • Advanced certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, strategic planning, or operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in implementing project prioritization frameworks and resource planning.
  • Proficiency with project management and reporting tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, Tableau).

    Work Environment:

    This is a remote position allowing you to work from the comfort of your home or any location with reliable internet access within the United States. You will spend extended periods at a computer, so a comfortable and ergonomic workspace is essential. We provide the necessary tools and support to ensure a productive and collaborative virtual work experience. Additionally, the company holds quarterly all-hands meetings in California, which you would be expected to travel to and attend in person.
