Job Title: Staff RN Resource Pool Float
Job Specialty: Medical Surgical or Critical Care
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 1st Shift, Float Pool, every other weekend, 5x8 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 18 months of recent hospital nursing experience in Medical Surgical or Critical Care
License: Requires a current Registered Nurse License from the state or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
Certifications: ACLS (if working in Critical Care)
Must-Have:
- Registered Nurse License
- Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice from a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing
- Competency in delivering care to an adult population
Job Description:
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients
- Primarily work in the Medical-Surgical or Critical Care Resource Pool
- Demonstrate competency in providing care to a primarily adult population
- Follow adapted practice standards from the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice 3rd Edition (2015)
- Participate in every other weekend schedule as part of the float pool
- Ensure high standards of care and patient safety are maintained
