The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of financial operations and employee relations. This position reports directly to the Controller. The Accounting Manager's responsibilities include the accurate and timely preparation and analyses of all facets of the financial operations of the company, including financial statement preparation, cash management, budget preparation and analyses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and all other fiscally related duties. The Accounting Manager's responsibilities will also include handling employee relations, recruitment, retention, termination, policies and procedures, employee benefits, payroll, and may perform other administrative duties as required.

As a Accountant Manager you will:
- Participate in the month-end close process in a timely and defect-free manner
- Reconcile, analyze and track assigned general ledger accounts and resolve any resulting discrepancies
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports and analysis of financial and non-financial data to include but not limited to revenue, expense analysis, calculating projections, and explaining variances on request to enhance Senior Leadership decisions
- accounting functions on a day-to-day basis including reporting and analysis, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, treasury management, fixed assets, and general ledger accounting
- business functions such as business licenses, vehicle registrations, property tax fillings, and ad valorem tax
- Preparation and completion of the fiscal year budgeting process, evaluate business unit performance against budget, and develop forecasts/re-forecasts to provide an accurate projection of financial performance.
- Support Leadership with the annual financial audit and tax process performed by our independent CPA firm.
- Document and monitoring of internal controls
- Identify opportunities for streamlining automation and process improvement
- Create and share data management tools for other business leaders
To be successful in the role you must possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency with advanced or higher Excel skills
- Experience with Sage 100 preferred but not required
- Solid working knowledge of GAAP
- Relevant professional experience preferred but not required
