Summary:
The Tulalip Health System is seeking a highly motivated PSYCHIATIRST (MD/DO) to be part of a comprehensive health and wellness system to care for the Tulalip Tribes' indigenous population. The Tulalip Health System is comprised of multi-disciplinary teams to include, Ambulatory Care, Psychiatry, Behavioral Health& Recovery, Physical Therapy, Optometry, Dental, and Complementary Medicine (Naturopathy, Reiki, Bowen, Acupuncture and Massage Therapies). You will be part of be part of a health and wellness system that provides care in a culturally appropriate ways addressing the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of each individual. We focus on the entire person, and have an integrative, patient-centered, multidisciplinary health team of dedicated professionals whose primary mission is to provide the best possible care to our tribal members and community. This position provides direct and comprehensive primary, preventative and therapeutic medical and nursing care to individuals across the lifespan at the Karen I Fryberg Tulalip Health Clinic serving the The Tulalip Tribes and their community.

Duties:

Primary Duties include but not limited to: 1. Psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment and treatment planning for Tulalip Health Systems beneficiaries. 2. Counsels clients and family on health and disease process and prescribe mental health treatment requirements utilizing current clinical practice guidelines. 3. Participates effectively in team meetings and treatment planning conferences and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members that enhances coordination of comprehensive patient care while. Observes strict client confidentiality, and all pertinent requirements of HIPAA and any other pertinent confidentiality regulations. 4. May be involved in any community activity requiring psychoeducational needs requiring the Psychiatrist's expertise to enhance community relations. 5. Performs other duties any additional reasonable roles relevant to position as deemed necessary by Chief Medical Officer (or designee) and help provide clinical care and evaluating patient care through an ongoing quality assurance program that identifies problems and their resolution. This participation essential to performance improvement programs. 6. Must complete and attest Provider Source Washington State Provider Application at least 4 weeks prior to employment start date. 7. Must manage and attest their own CAQH application or delegate that responsibility to a member of the credentialing team at least 4 weeks prior to employment start date. 8. Employee must attend Continuing Medical Education hours sufficient to meet Washington State Licensing requirements
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical School or Osteopathic Medical School as well as an Adult Psychiatry Residency Program. - Must possess and maintain a current and unrestricted Washington State MD or DO License prior to beginning work. - Must possess and maintain Board Certification in Psychiatry - Must possess and maintain a current, full and unrestricted DEA license. - Must possess current CPR or BLS certification. - Work effectively in a culturally diverse environment. - Maintain confidentiality and communicate with tact and discretion. - Organize, plan, coordinate, and carry-out assigned tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. - Provide excellent customer service and problem solve effectively. - Learn, interpret and apply health information, tribal policies, and other written information. - Continually learn and utilize a variety of information systems and software. - Effectively lead, facilitate, and present to individuals and small and large groups. - Research and use information, data and statistics to solve problems. - Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check(s).
