Safety Manager (Electrical Contractor)

FZ is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is focused on serving customers throughout Michigan, Tennessee, and the Carolinas.

FZ is looking for a Safety Manager for the Nashville office. This role is responsible for ensuring our commitment to safety is followed and for serving our project team leaders, field leaders, and front-line field workers in refining their safety leadership. This role collaborates heavily with Project Managers, Account Managers, Field Operations Managers, leadership and customers to contribute to successful and safe FZ projects.

Key Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Construction or Industrial related Safety, including knowledge of and exposure to electrical related hazards.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or relevant degree strongly preferred; and/or Journeyman or Master Electrician licensing a plus.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 strongly preferred; OSHA 500 a big plus!
• Safety certifications (e.g., CSP, ASP, CHST) a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), safety software and data analysis tools.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong relationship building and influencing skills with the ability to balance safety education vs. accountability.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• Ability to provide 24 X 7 on-call support for safety emergencies or incidents that occur after hours or on weekends.
• Travel required - regularly to regional job sites in provided company truck and by plane to out of state meetings at the Michigan headquarters (overnights required).
