Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and energetic Events Specialist to plan, execute, and manage a wide range of events, including product launches, trade shows, conferences, customer engagement activities, and internal company events. This individual will be reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing and responsible for ensuring all events align with SHMA's brand, mission, and goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in event planning, project management, and strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $90,000-$110,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

The ideal candidate will have experience in event planning, project management, and strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Event Planning & Execution: As part of a team, collaboratively execute all aspects of SHMA's events, including product launches, trade shows, customer engagement experiences, CES, and other high-profile events.
- Vehicle Displays & Logistics: Work on the vehicle logistics related to event setup and teardown, ensuring seamless coordination of transportation and vehicle displays at events. Work closely with the team to ensure AFEELA vehicles are prominently and effectively displayed at all events and pop-up stores.
- Store Experience & Pop-Up Assistance: Assist in the planning, design, and management of semi-permanent pop-up stores, ensuring consistency with the SHMA brand experience. Support customer engagement and sales initiatives at these locations to enhance brand exposure and customer interaction.
- Vendor & Venue Coordination: Research, negotiate, and secure venues, caterers, audiovisual equipment, and other vendors required for events. Execute all event logistics, including setup, breakdown, and staffing.
- Brand Representation: Ensure that all events accurately reflect SHMA's brand image and messaging, from signage to promotional materials and event activities.
- Budget Management: Assist in the management of event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining the high quality of SHMA events. Track and report on expenses, ensuring events stay within budget.
- Event Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies for events, including digital marketing, social media, and email campaigns to drive attendance and engagement.
- Attendee Experience: Create a memorable and engaging attendee experience through innovative event design, interactive elements, and customer-centric approaches to ensure positive engagement with SHMA and the AFEELA brand.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, product, and customer service, to ensure events align with business objectives and product launches are strategically planned.
- Post-Event Evaluation: Collect feedback and analyze the success of each event to continuously improve future initiatives. Provide post-event reports on attendee engagement, ROI, and key learnings.
- Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest event planning trends, technologies, and best practices to deliver cutting-edge, innovative events for SHMA.
- Logistics Management: Coordinate transportation, shipping of materials, and event schedules, ensuring seamless execution of all event-related activities.
Qualifications for Position
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in event planning, management, or related roles, preferably in the automotive, technology, or electric vehicle industries.
- Proven track record of executing successful events, from concept to completion.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
- Budget management experience and ability to prioritize cost-effective solutions.
- Ability to think creatively and problem-solve in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency with event/CRM management tools (e.g., Eventory, Salesforce) and digital collaboration platforms.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours for events as needed.
