Job Summary:
PIC Group is seeking an experienced Outage Manager to lead a large-scale outage at a coal-fired power plant in Wisconsin. The Outage Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the outage, managing over 200 project components, a diverse team of subcontractors, and ensuring the successful execution of the outage with potential for post-outage follow-up responsibilities. This is a pivotal leadership role requiring expertise in outage management, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate over 200 individual outage tasks, ensuring all activities are completed on time and meet plant standards.
Directly oversee subcontractors, ensuring resource alignment, adherence to timelines, and strict compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
Develop and maintain outage schedules, tracking progress and addressing delays or deviations proactively.
Enforce safety protocols, manage work compliance, and ensure all activities meet plant safety standards and regulations.
Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders. Provide detailed daily reports, including safety audits and project status updates.
Support post-outage inspections, equipment testing, and any follow-up work to ensure the plant's full operational readiness.

Job Requirements:
Extensive experience managing outages for steam turbines and coal-fired power plants.
Strong understanding of safety practices, including LOTO procedures, and experience with confined space and hot work projects.
Familiarity with CE boilers and power generation systems, with a preference for candidates experienced in large-scale maintenance outage work.
Proficient in project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6) and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clear updates and facilitate meetings with contractors and stakeholders.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Knowledge in OSHA Requirements (incl. General, Lockout / Tagout, Arc Flash Hazard Requirements (NFPA 70E) and Fuel Gas Piping System Requirements (NFPA 56)).

Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk, reach, climb, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds.
Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and potentially hazardous environments.

Education / Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical certifications or degrees are a plus.
10+ years of experience in power generation, with at least 5 years in outage or large-scale project management for coal-fired plants.
OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Training
