About the Role:
MJ is seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Practice Lead to grow a new practice within the high voltage, transmission, and substation energy market. This position offers the opportunity to drive initiatives that align with the company's growth objectives and environmental commitments while leveraging innovative technologies and sustainable practices. The Practice leader will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of business operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products in a safe and efficient manner. This includes strategic planning, recruitment, productivity, quality control and assurance, business development, client satisfaction, staff career development, and financial management.
Successful candidate will be a technically well-versed, licensed P.E., with at least 15 years of progressive experience providing energy related design, project planning and programming, and business development services for within the energy market.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the Division director to develop and implement growth strategies, align regional goals with corporate objectives, and oversee the financial and operational performance of the Energy Practice.
- Drive business development by fostering client relationships, presenting technical solutions, and identifying opportunities in the high voltage energy market.
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of high voltage, transmission, and renewable energy projects, ensuring timely, high-quality, and code-compliant delivery.
- Provide leadership to a high performing team of Project Managers and Engineers while cultivating a culture of technical expertise and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Strong business development acumen and entrepreneurial mindset.
- In-depth knowledge of the consulting industry, particularly in the energy sector.
- Established network within the energy industry.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to foster teamwork and collaboration across teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
