Position Summary

We have 2 open positions for a Psychotherapist within the Human Services team.

Psychotherapist - Mental Health & Recovery Services

  • Provide mental health and/or substance use treatment services to consumers, provide clinical support and consultation to agency staff, and provide mental health education and/or substance use education and prevention to the public for Sauk County Department of Human Services.
  • Identify, develop, adapt, and implement treatment methods according to the consumers' unique needs using tools and approaches that are evidence-based such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral, trauma informed, and strength based.

Psychotherapist - Community Support Program

  • Provide psychotherapy to clients and provide community mental health services for the Sauk County Department of Human Services.
  • Provide various types of psychotherapy such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
  • Provide clients with supportive psychotherapy, symptom management support, and life skills education to allow consumers to attain and maintain their highest level of independent living.
  • Consult with other service providers to coordinate treatment with mental health, vocational, and institutional personnel; refer clients to appropriate services/agencies; initiate legal commitments and provide other case management services; and coordinate client services during transition from commitment to community living.


Salary Information

Salary is 78,416 up to 83,200 a year.

Job Details

Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. Please note these hours are subject to change and additional hours may be needed or required. Compensation for additional hours beyond normal working hours are subject to applicable state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or another related field 2000 hrs of supervised post degree clinical experience w/persons with chronic mental illness

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Licensed as a Social Worker (APSW, LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT-IT, LMFT), or Professional Counselor (LPC-IT, LPC) by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
  • Wisconsin State Motor Vehicle Driver's

License Preferred:

  • Licensed substance abuse counselor (SAC) 3 years of individual and group therapy sessions experience
  • Substance abuse education and experience providing substance abuse assessment and treatment
  • Experience with Comprehensive Community Services (CCS), American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria, and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
