EPTAM Precision Metals, nestled in Colorado Springs Colorado , operates from a high-tech, 70,000-square-foot facility, specializing in medical implants and instrumentation. Our facility, accredited with FDA-registration and ISO 13485 certification, features essential resources including a Class 7 clean room, automated inspection, a validated supply chain, and a dedicated R&D cell.

SHIFT DETAILS:

Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Manager is responsible for:
  • Overseeing and driving projects to completion.
  • Developing cost estimates, establishing critical paths, and managing project timelines from the receipt of customer design files through process development, product and process validation and production readiness.
  • This position requires a proactive leader who can work effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop detailed product cost estimates based on customer design files and specifications.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Oversee and drive multiple projects through the entire project lifecycle including design for manufacturing reviews, process development, product and process validation and production readiness.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality assurance, and business development to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, implement corrective actions and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their requirements and provide regular updates on project status.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present project reports and documentation to stakeholders.


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follow specifications and procedures for manufacturing, i.e., a production checklist, work orders and any other special instructions.
  • Represent the company as required during customer, internal and ISO audits, as well as FDA inspections.
  • Understand the sensitivity of the data managed by the systems under your control and respond appropriately.
  • Good housekeeping, safe work ethics, and conducting self in a professional manner.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management within the precision metals fabrication or manufacturing industry, preferably in the medical device sector.
  • Strong understanding of cost estimation, critical path method, and project timeline management.
  • Excellent leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for Class III medical devices, a plus.
  • EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years' experience in Project Manager.
  • LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND/ REGISTRATIONS: CPM Certification preferred, but not required.
