Director of Supply Chain and Procurement

PURPOSE:

The Director of Procurement and Supply Chain will interface with all functions and levels of the organization. They will be responsible for leading and optimizing the company's procurement operations, ensuring cost efficiency, supplier quality, and timely delivery of goods and services.

This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and can be located in either our Haverhill, MA or Dallas, NC locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee procurement activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability of the supply chain.
• Direct day-to-day purchasing operations, including purchase orders, approvals, and compliance with company policies. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production, logistics, and warehouse teams to prevent overstock or shortages.
• Work and collaborate cross-functionally with the Operations and Quality teams to ensure that purchased materials, suppliers, and services comply with the company's requirements.
• Responsible for conducting spend analysis, analyzing supply markets, identifying sourcing levers, executing competitive RFPs and leading supplier negotiations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with business functional heads to understand and support their vendor needs; work with them to identify opportunities to leverage purchasing power.
• Utilize professional knowledge and experience of negotiation to advise the business, and secure the best outcome for the company, maximize leverage control and steer complex and critical negotiations.
• Develop, direct, and manage overall cost reduction targets and oversee execution of initiatives.
• Support ad hoc analytical projects as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing team members.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing procurement and supply chain strategies that drive operational excellence and cost savings.

• Highly organized, motivated and task oriented.
• Advanced computer user skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams).
