RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the Accounting team, driving strategy, innovation, and operational excellence for a multi-entity organization with 40 restaurants.
• Oversee monthly and annual closings, including reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements, instituting robust internal controls.
• Analyze restaurant financial performance, comparing results with budgets, forecasts, and historical data to support business decisions.
• Manage debt, lines of credit, and cash flow, ensuring optimal financial positioning.
• Oversee and review all tax filings, including sales tax, property tax, and corporate tax compliance.
• Supervise fixed asset management and depreciation schedules for all restaurant and real estate entities.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on annual and quarterly budget preparation, providing guidance to align financial goals with business strategy.
• Develop and enhance financial reporting systems, including ERP optimization and custom report creation.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and high performance.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of accounting with leadership experience
• Expertise in compliance and financial reporting.
• Proficient in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams, provide mentorship, and build strong cross-functional relationships.
• Exceptional analytical skills, strategic mindset, and a keen eye for detail.
• Experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industries is a plus.
