Summary

Provide overall management and leadership of the skilled nursing facility. Ensure that the services are provided in a way that meets service delivery standards, quality outcomes, and operational efficiency. Establish, maintain, and continuously improve overall operations to meet or exceed state, federal, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Management Plan is developed, implemented, and evaluated for continuous improvement to achieve organizational goals.
Patient and resident safety is monitored and maintained at all times. If such incidents allegedly occur, appropriate action and reports are completed per organization and regulatory guidelines.
Weekly and monthly operation reports are completed and actions to improve are implemented.
Union free status is promoted and maintained through proactive practices and initiatives.
Admission plans, strategies, and tools are developed and implemented to meet volume targets.
New products and services are developed to meet the needs of the community.
Team members are hired, mentored, and continually developed to achieve stated goals for performance. Performance evaluations are completed accurately and timely in accordance with organization standards.
Customer service principles are upheld and supported with staff, patients, and families.
Market and organizationally agreed upon outcomes drive work and team efforts.
Human, capital, system, and community resources are coordinated to achieve budget objectives.
Additional department, organization, or network activities are completed per established objectives.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

Education/Degree

Required
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Health Sciences required.

Preferred

Experience

Required

Preferred
Two to three years experience in long term care preferred.
Two to three years management experience preferred.

Licensure

Required
Current Administrator license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Preferred

Skills (Specific learned activity gained through training (e.g. computer skills, keyboarding, presentation, CPR, ACLS, etc.)

Required
Computer proficiency required. Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software.

Preferred
Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population.
Work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team.
Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.
High level of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.
