POSITION SUMMARY:

The Controller is an experienced financial leader and vital role within Resolve Surgical. The Controller will work with the CFO and the business to build, implement, and monitor accounting and process controls, risk management, and KPIs, with a heavy focus on costing, inventory, and asset management. Building collaborative relationships to resolve issues and build processes that support business and financial reporting / control needs is vital for this role. This role is accountable for overseeing all supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and distribution accounting and reporting company wide. This position is critical in helping Resolve Surgical Technologies maximize the number of patients served while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure timely and efficient monthly close. Oversee accounting, tax and accounts receivables and payables.
Provide accurate and timely cash reporting and forecasting.
Ensure delivery of the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of financial statements and related reports to agreed timelines to key internal and external stakeholders.
Lead the completion of annual financial statements.
Lead the completion of annual audits, tax returns, statutory and bank / investor covenant reporting.
Collaboratively develop and champion policies, processes, and procedures that provide a strong basis for future growth while respecting company culture.
Review and monitor key accounting activities including balance sheet review and journal entries. Ensure all financial and control processes are adequately documented.
Work with business partners to simplify / streamline processes and use available tools to allow the business to efficiently scale.
Manage the auditor / advisor transitions and lead auditor and external advisor relationships. Build a relationship of confidence with external auditors and the audit committee.
Maintain effective systems and controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and processes in compliance with US GAAP and company standards.
Ensure resources are in place to deliver in functional objectives. Mentor and develop the accounting team. Educate the business on financial and control needs.
Lead the ERP documentation and development to ensure that all financial systems are properly leveraged, integrated, and updated to capture and produce timely and accurate information and to support organizational growth.
Establish strong collaborative relationships with all areas of our business. Use influence to develop and document business processes that support sound financial reporting.
Benchmark key accounting practices and play a leading role in continually improving the company's financial management processes.
Evaluate current cost accounting practices and make recommendations to drive operational improvements within the supply chain. Included in this area are overhead pooling and evaluation for different application methods.
Create visibility and accountability to spending in overhead areas across the network.

Research and analysis of technical accounting matters. Formally document accounting treatments and clear with auditors.
Manage the Capitalization Table, equity tracking, and investor waterfalls.
Establish, coordinate, and administer plan for control of operations including programs for capital investing, financing and cost standards, together with necessary controls and procedures to affect the plan including cycle counts, business reviews and financial statement reviews.
Prepare special reports, as required.
Partner with colleagues to collaborate and deliver cultural and organizational commitments.
Provides advice on all matters to Chief Financial Officer.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, required
CPA required
10+ years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance roles of increasing responsibility with tax, audit, and treasury management
ERP design and implementation experience
Three (3) years of experience with cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or healthcare/medical device environment
Three (3) years of experience in a Controller (or higher level) position, preferred
Three (3) recent years' experience in manufacturing and cost accounting

Technical Competencies
Proven skills in US GAAP accounting, ERP/MRP systems (i.e. SAP), sales / corporate tax prep in complex environments
Extensive skills in US GAAP compliance knowledge with financial reporting technical skills, including preparation of accounting white papers.
Contemporary knowledge if finance best practices and an understanding of how to map, assess, document and enhance current processes to enable productivity and collaboration.
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, standard costing, and variance analysis
Ability to analyze complex data sets, draw meaningful insights, and communicate findings effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
Proven project management skills. Ability to coordinates activities across vendor, end user and internal resources to achieve deliverables as defined in project plans.
