- Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in litigation, with medical malpractice defense experience being essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of 15-17 cases with minimal supervision.
- All aspects of litigation, including defense strategy development, written discovery, drafting and arguing motions, taking, and defending depositions, trial preparation and trial
- Work collaboratively with partners, other associates to develop appropriate legal strategies
- Provide direction to supporting legal assistants, law clerks and paralegals
- Conduct depositions, especially involving healthcare professionals.
- Draft motions (including motions for summary judgment)
- Collaborate on mediations and prepare for trials.
- Handle 160 billable hours/month (1,920 annually).
- Work Setup: in-office (5 days in-office, and open to going to trial as needed).
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- At least 2 years of experience in general liability, with a specific focus on medical malpractice.
- Experience in preparing pleadings, conducting depositions, and motion practice.
- Ability to efficiently analyze issues and communicate regularly with claims professionals.
- Must have experience working in a law firm environment.
