Internal Title: Level/Function: Group Manager, Strategic Planning

Works as part of a project implementation team to conduct business analysis using basic statistics and database management skills. Has product knowledge and knows the business operations and systems to consult with internal and external customers. Identifies opportunities to provide customized solutions to the customer. Assists with the recommendations to business or new product owner development and documentation of analytical results and presents these elements to customers. Customizes and configures applications to agreed specifications or provides recommendations for this. Designs, develops, and documents workbooks, spreadsheets, and associated deliverables within forecast timescales and budgets agreed with customers. Supports other team members with analytic activities, including assisting with the development and execution of test plans. Provides market or business information from the field to appropriate Marketing and Product Management groups to assist product development. Trains end users and customer development staff in the functionality of products. Provide on-site and/or telephone support (e.g. customer inquiries, requests for ad hoc reporting assistance, miscellaneous research, advice on analytic methods) and training to customers.

    • Develops and executes operational strategy for department
    • Contributes to the development of wider function strategies.
    • Determines, evaluates, and modifies department goals to meet current and future needs.
    • Directs resource allocation to meet performance requirements in own area.
    • Addresses complex business issues beyond immediate needs or where established policies can be adapted.
    • Decisions guided by BU or functional strategies. Qualifications


Skills/Abilities
  • Broad business and managerial knowledge of a specific sub-function, BU, or technical discipline
  • General knowledge of all relevant business relationships within the Company
  • Overall understanding of the Company businesses and other functional groups
  • Resolves complex business issues through the application of in-depth skills, knowledge, and understanding of industry issues
  • Demonstrates people leadership skills for significant populations or technical experts


Requirements
  • Related Bachelor's degree required. MBA or business- focused advanced degree preferred
  • Extensive experience in a consulting, business management or private equity firm required. Minimum 5-7 years.
  • Five plus years of high-level project and transformational experience
