Role Overview
As a Senior Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports, and models. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and create intuitive, visually appealing, and actionable data insights. Your expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and experience in integrating Power BI with Amazon Redshift will be essential in building robust and scalable BI solutions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Responsibilities)
1. Infuses the Patch Values into your work ethic, every day and every interaction.
2. Develop, design, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
3. Create and manage complex DAX queries and functions to build dynamic and interactive reports.
4. Design and implement data models in Power BI, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
5. Integrate Power BI with Amazon Redshift, creating efficient data pipelines and ensuring seamless data flow.
6. Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports, data models, and integrations.
8. Stay current with Power BI updates, new features, and best practices to continually improve BI capabilities.
9. Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and functionalities.
10. Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
(Qualifications)
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
3. Strong expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M language for Power Query.
4. Proven experience in creating and managing data models, dashboards, and reports in Power BI.
5. Hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift or other cloud-based data warehousing solutions.
6. Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and transformation.
7. Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
10. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
11. Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S.
12. Kasasa values the importance of flexibility and collaboration. We offer a hybrid work model where you'll join us in the office for at least three full workdays each week, allowing for meaningful in-person connections and teamwork. The remaining two days offer the option to work remotely, providing you with the balance and autonomy to excel in your role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Looker.
2. Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration tools.
3. Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and automation.
4. Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Sitting for extended periods of time; approximately 5-6 hours per day
2. Simultaneous use of hand, wrist and fingers
3. Daily operation of standard office equipment
4. Frequent use of oral communication to perform work
5. Occasionally lifts and moves 7-10 pounds
