Description:

Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. seeks a candidate with three to five years of experience to join our Baltimore office. The ideal candidate should have substantive experience handling matters arising under major federal and Maryland environmental regulatory programs, with Maryland state government experience a plus.

A candidate with a strong interest in the position who may not currently have significant background in all the foregoing areas should be committed to becoming well-versed in these areas. In addition to the foregoing, candidates will be expected to support the firms national environmental regulatory and litigation practices. Candidates should describe their experience in these areas.

All candidates should have a strong academic background, excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and the desire to become a leader in cases involving challenging legal and environmental issues.

Candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Status as an active member of the Maryland bar, or status as an active member in good standing of the bar in at least one state or the District of Columbia, and the ability to become admitted to the Maryland bar.
  • Experience with, or demonstrated interest in major Maryland and/or federal environmental statutes.
  • Strong analytical, research, writing, and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to work well under deadlines, and ability to assume significant client responsibilities.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

In accordance with the laws of the jurisdictions in which this position may be filled, the base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $230,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience. The compensation for this position may also include a discretionary annual bonus and an hours-based bonus.
