The Student Information Systems Director (SISD) is responsible for coordinating, controlling, and maintaining the district-wide Student Information Systems, with a primary focus on Infinite Campus. This role oversees all technical and functional aspects of the SIS to ensure compliance with district, state, and federal data management and reporting requirements. The SISD administers and implements MARSS student accounting procedures to generate and submit accurate, timely data to the Minnesota Department of Education, directly influencing the district's revenue funding through reporting processes (e.g., MARSS, DIRS, FRAM etc.).
The SISD provides technical leadership in the administration of the SIS, offering expert support to end-users by troubleshooting, identifying, and resolving technical issues. Responsibilities include managing database functions such as attendance, discipline, transcripts, demographics, data extracts, imports, migrations, and automated procedure development. Additionally, this role configurations gradebooks, report cards, and other key components of student data systems, ensuring optimal functionality and alignment with district objectives. Fluency in SQL, data reporting expertise, and a proactive approach to optimizing SIS capabilities for district use are essential for success in this role.
