Alberta Health Services in partnership with The University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine, invites applications for an Endocrinologist or General Internist to be based at the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry has been internationally recognized as among the world's top 50 medical schools and as one of Canada's premier health-education institutions.
The Royal Alexandra Hospital Diabetes in Pregnancy clinic serves diabetic pregnant patients in the Edmonton zone. The RAH has over 7000 deliveries a year and is a tertiary care center for high-risk obstetrical patients. The Diabetes in Pregnancy clinic at RAH is a multidisciplinary clinic, with a team of physician, nurse and dietitian.
Responsibilities:
The successful applicant is expected to participate in clinical service commitments in the Diabetes Clinic 1 to 2 half day per week. The skillsets required for the applicant are knowledge and experience in diabetes management, excellent communicator, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment. It is expected that the clinic providers pursue regular professional activities to bring the most up-to-date treatment modalities to the clinic.
