Duties include but not limited to:
~Establish and maintain a full time community based practice in the community of Grande Prairie
~Reside in and have as his/her primary residence, Grande Prairie
~Provide hospital care (rounding) for his/her admitted in-patients; low-risk obstetrics is optional
~Participation on the call rota for unattached patients admitted to Long-Term Care/Continuing Care facilities in Grande Prairie
~Participate fully in quality programs and initiatives undertaken within Family Medicine in AHS, including (without limitation) achievement of
certain performance indicators followed by AHS, exercising its discretion reasonably
~Contribute to and participate in other clinical and administrative duties as assigned
~Contribute to and participate in teaching programs and activities
~Perform other duties (including without limitation administrative and reporting duties) and attendance at meetings as reasonably scheduled by
the Facility Medical Director, Zone Clinical Department Facility Chief or delegate
The successful candidate is recruited for the community of Grande Prairie and may choose to operate their business by joining an existing practice
or opening their own practice. This is the candidate's business choice and will not be managed through the recruitment process.

Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- CCFP certification desired
- Must have independent hospital experience in a regional setting (acute care & long-term care), within the last 1-2 years
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is desired
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) is desired
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is desired
- Advance Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) is required to practice low risk obstetrics
- Neonatal Resuscitation (NPR) is required to practice low risk obstetrics
