Salary Grade/Level/Family/Range: APT Range: 9 Salary: $68,879 to $101,193 (Negotiable based on experience)

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective: Responsible on a monthly or quarterly basis for reconciling grants, meeting deadlines, and producing reports for Grant Manager, Director of Finance, and Chief Financial Officer. Responsible on an annual basis for supporting the compilation of annual financial reporting for various granting agencies.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions
- Maintaining and establishing all federal and state grants, monitoring expenses to ensure they follow district and grant guidelines, preparing monthly reports to be shared with schools and departments.
- Tracking budgets versus expenditures and determining allowability of grant spending.
- Provide financial policies and procedures guidance to end users.
- Utilize accounting background and adhere to district policies to process grant-related expenditures.
- Prepare monthly adjusting journal and budget journal entries as assigned for review by the Grant Manager.
- Create internal reporting on budget versus actual variances for review by Grant Manager and grant program directors.
- Maintain grant request spreadsheets, documents, and files.
- Assist Grant Manager with correspondence with sites on grant spending.
- Assist School Leadership with new grant applications as needed.
- Process grant-related deposits, payment vouchers, expenditure transfers, One Time Pay, TimeClock Plus, mileage reimbursements, etc.
- Responsible for grant-related documents and record retention.
- Responsible for adhering to internal controls in relation to grant-related transactions.
- Develop grant budgets and assist Charter and Private schools with grant allocations.
Additional Qualifications:
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ten-key calculator by touch.
- Ability to think creatively and identify procedural improvements as needed.
- Experience in using automated financial management computer systems.
- Must possess a high level of accuracy and be detail-oriented. Must possess secretarial and clerical skills with a knowledge of organization and operation of the district.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and the general public. Public relations skills and successful customer service.
- Ability to work independently and as a productive team member.
- Ability to perform routine tasks independently and without direction from the supervisor.
- Ability to assume responsibility for handling administrative details.
- Knowledge of Board policies, district procedures, federal, and state laws that apply to the position.
- Ability to complete difficult tasks within time constraints and work with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to perform all functions of the position.
Other Duties:
- Respect all confidential matters.
- Assist Finance Department staff with files, reports, and other information.
- Compile financial information into reports or graphic presentations for administrators as requested.
- Present new procedures to groups of 10 to 80 people as needed.
