Description:

Here is what you will need:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Radiology, or a related field. Clinical background in radiology, nursing, or healthcare is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in clinical applications, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within mammography or radiology.
  • Strong understanding of mammography and radiology workflows, PACS, RIS, EMR, and other imaging applications; familiarity with IT best practices such as ITIL or SDLC
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting clinical applications in radiology, including HIPAA, ACR standards, and FDA regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating service contracts.
  • Excellent organizational, advanced analytical, presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • A track record of success communicating technical information to non-technical audiences; demonstrates experience in gaining the confidence of senior leadership


A Day in the Life of a Director of Clinical Applications:
  • Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for radiology clinical systems, ensuring alignment with clinical and IT strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify technological innovations and improvements that enhance clinical operations, patient outcomes, and diagnostic accuracy in radiology.
  • Maintain a lens for scale & growth; approaching solutions with an eye toward scalable, sustainable solutions designed for a much larger organization
  • Maintain a deep understanding of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in clinical systems
  • Possess strong financial acumen and a budget mindset with focus on project management and budget accountability; be able to articulate business and investment needs to demonstrate ROI
  • Provide guidance on best practices in clinical application usage and optimize workflows to minimize manual tasks.
  • Drive end-user engagement, ensuring that radiologists and clinicians are fully trained on application use and actively involved in identifying workflow enhancements.
  • Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing team of clinical application specialists to execute on projects & support needs with quality, excellence, & efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical leadership, radiologists, technologists and third-party vendors, to foster a culture of innovation and ensure alignment on objectives.
  • Ensure clinical applications meet all regulatory, privacy, and security standards, including HIPAA and FDA requirements.
