Business Manager needed for the 2025-2026 school year.

Business Manager needed for Central Office. This is a 12 month position. Must be highly organized and able to multi-task. Requires excellent office and social skills for greeting the public. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, (especially Excel and Word), as well as a 10-key calculator. Knowledge in SISFIN desirable.

Rate of pay based on: $85,169/year - $110,846/year + full benefits (overtime exempt).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains a complete set of records of all financial transactions of the district.
Records in detail on the computer all financial transactions to appropriate journals.
Prepares financial statements and all reports which reflect the financial condition of the district.
Reconciles payroll and accounts payable to the bank statements.
Coordinates, processes and controls transfer of budgeted funds as requested.
Arranges for audit of all accounts and records annually by an independent CPA and provides all reports and information required.
Makes deposits at the banks and posts to proper accounts; makes all state and federal programs accountable.
Works on federal programs as needed.
Prepares and makes investments for the district.
Prepares an encumbrance accounting system.
Provides accounting services essential to the preparation, administration and control of the budget.
Invoices district receivables.
Prepares financial and budget reports at regular times to local, state and federal personnel.
Has access and knowledge of confidential materials and personnel files.
Meet and greet the public in a courteous manner.
Regular and dependable attendance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinates work done in the accounts payable and payroll departments.
Oversees operations in the business office.
Directs financial accounting procedures.
Interviews, trains, and selects employees.
Appraises employee productivity.
Handles employee complaints and grievances.
Plans work for the business office.
Determines work techniques to be used by the business office.
Apportions work among employees in the business office.
Determines the types of equipment and materials needed for performing work.
Assists in planning budgets.
Monitors work of business office for legal and regulatory compliance.
Provides for safety and security of the workplace.
