Job Description:
- Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize the value and performance of the company's infrastructure assets.
- Supervise a team of asset managers and engineers responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing asset performance.
- Develop and maintain asset management plans, including risk assessments, lifecycle analysis, and maintenance strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, finance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure alignment of asset management objectives with overall business goals.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the performance and effectiveness of asset management activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the asset management function.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to asset management.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to senior management on long-term asset investment and planning decisions.
- Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement within the asset management team.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in asset management.
- Oversee asset lifecycle management, including maintenance, and disposal strategies to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
- Work closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on asset management goals and reliability strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of asset performance, maintenance activities, and reliability metrics.
- Apply hands-on, technical leadership for all required programs.
- Oversee engineering, procurement and construction (EPCs) and consultants on behalf of LUMA.
- Perform major storm restoration work and associated drills as assigned.
- Follow all standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree Engineering or a related discipline.
- Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a large electrical utility environment with knowledge in asset management and higher voltages transmission, substation, distribution systems, equipment and components, including 4 years experience in a supervising role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with asset management of at least 115 kV, 138kV, 230 kV, 345 kV.
- Strong understanding of asset management principles, methodologies, and tools. GIS knowledge and expertise is highly desired.
- Experience with asset management software systems (e.g. Asset Suite, Enterprise Asset Management, Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to asset management in the electric utility sector.
- Demonstrated experience at developing and maintaining a strong safety culture with consistent positive results.
- Proven customer service oriented to anticipate and respond to the needs of internal and external customers recognizing the requirement for public accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic relationships in order to work across division and with internal and external stakeholders/clients.
- Fluent in English (being able to read, speak, and write).
